Dr. Noshin Ilyas is Chairperson/Associate Professor of Botany at PMAS Arid Agriculture University, Rawalpindi, with a PhD from Quaid-i-Azam University. She has supervised 11 PhDs and 48 MPhil students, published extensively (6500+ citations), and serves on multiple editorial boards. Her research focuses on plant stress physiology and climate-resilient strategies, with several grants, awards, and international presentations to her credit.

Dr. Noshin Ilyas is working as Chairperson/ Associate Professor in the Department of Botany, PMAS Arid Agriculture University Rawalpindi, Pakistan. Earned her Ph.D. in Plant Sciences from Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad, Pakistan. Always distinct in the academic career with a first-class first position in Masters and did a Ph.D. under a fellowship from the Higher Education Commission, Pakistan. She has supervised dissertational research work of 11 Ph.Ds and 48 M.Phil students to date and is presently mentoring 4 Ph.D. and 9 M.Phil students. She has a good publication record in prestigious journals with an impact factor of above 400 and 6500 citations. She is on the editorial board of various journals like Plant Physiology and Biochemistry, Plant Pathology, Vegetos, Frontiers, PLoS one and Sustainability. She has earned four research grants from APO, HEC, PSF, and PARB. She has submitted four products for the patent award. She is an active member of the scientific community and combines a focus on achievement with a passion for scholarly work, presenting at various international conferences. She is the president of the Pakistan Asian PGPR society and a member of various professional societies. She has received the Recognized distinguished Pakistani Researcher and Scientist by Higher Education Commission of Pakistan, Research Award thrice from PMAS-Arid Agriculture University Rawalpindi and the 1st Prof. Dr. Abdul Hameed Gold Medal in Applied and Environmental Microbiology from the Applied Zoological Society of Pakistan. She has presented her work at various national and international conferences, particulary at USA, Malaysia, Indonesia, Turkey, Thailand, UAE, Philppine, and Nepal.
She is currently working on elucidating the response-to-stress mechanisms and developing resistance strategies for the amelioration of various abiotic stresses.
