I am Bolade Oladayo Olufolake, born into a large family of eight, an upbringing that instilled in me the values of resilience, hard work, and service to others from an early age. Following the completion of my secondary education, I pursued a career in nursing, enrolling at the prestigious School of Nursing, University College Hospital — one of Nigeria's foremost institutions for healthcare training.
There, I built the foundation of a career dedicated to patient care, earning my Registered Nurse Certificate in 1995. Recognizing the vital connection between maternal health and community wellbeing, I went on to specialize further, obtaining my Registered Midwife Certificate in 1997. These qualifications equipped me with the clinical expertise to provide comprehensive care across a wide range of patient needs, from general nursing to maternal and newborn health.
Never one to rest on my achievements, I continued to invest in my professional development. In 2022, after years of dedicated practice, I furthered my education by earning a Bachelor of Nursing Science degree from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife — a testament to my enduring commitment to excellence and lifelong learning in my field.
Throughout my career, I have been driven by a deep passion for saving lives and improving patient outcomes. I view nursing not merely as a profession but as a calling, and I remain dedicated to contributing meaningfully to the development and advancement of healthcare services. My journey — from a modest upbringing to a respected career spanning nearly three decades — reflects both my personal determination and my unwavering commitment to the wellbeing of others.
