Olubukunola Osisami works in the capacity of a Chief Scientific Officer, CSO, at the National Biotechnology Research and Development Agency, NBRDA, under the Federal Ministry of Innovation, Science and Technology, Abuja, Nigeria. She is a passionate advocate for gender equity, climate action, and sustainable development, with a strong commitment to advancing women’s participation in science and leadership. She has built a distinguished career at the intersection of public health, environmental sustainability, and community development, leveraging her expertise to drive evidence-based policies and transformative programs that improve lives and empower women and youth.
With an academic background in biochemistry (Master's), currently doing her PhD, Olubukunola combines scientific knowledge with practical experience in program design, research, and policy advocacy. Over the years, she has contributed to several multidisciplinary initiatives focused on climate resilience, health systems strengthening, and women’s empowerment, working collaboratively with academic institutions, development organizations, and local communities.
She is deeply passionate about bridging the gap between science and policy to address pressing global challenges such as climate change, environmental degradation, and inequities in access to education and health. Her work reflects a deep belief in the power of science and collaboration to achieve sustainable progress in developing regions.
