About me
Oluwatosin Ope-Babadele is a rising academic and researcher with 20 years of experience in the field of education and public service. Currently teaching at the School of Nursing Science, Babcock University, Oluwatosin is dedicated to fostering academic excellence and empowering her students.
Her career began with a Registered Nurse (RN) qualification in 2005, followed by a Bachelor’s degree in 2008. She continued to advance her education with a Master’s degree in 2018 and completed her PhD in 2023. Her doctoral thesis focused on developing a software application aimed at improving student performance in the course, Fundamentals of Nursing, reflecting her commitment to leveraging technology in education.
During her first decade in the workforce, Oluwatomisin served at the Local Government Service Commission, where she was posted to several primary health care facilities for nursing practice and she gained invaluable experience in public service. Since transitioning to academia, she has impacted the lives of so many nursing students, supervised nearly 50 research students, reviewed over 15 postgraduate research projects, and contributed to several relevant research publications.
At Babcock University, Oluwatomisin teaches both undergraduate and postgraduate students, guiding them through their academic journeys with a passion for teaching and a belief in the importance of integrity and diligence. She is currently supervising 15 undergraduates, 6 master and 4 PhD students respectively, emphasizing the value of mentorship in her work.
Beyond her academic achievements, Oluwatosin is a nurse entrepreneur, balancing her professional life with her roles as a devoted wife and mother to beautiful children. Known for her friendly and approachable demeanour, she is also recognized for her attention to detail and her commitment to excellence. A child of God, she aspires to fulfil her divine purpose, always striving to be where God wants her to be and doing what God wants her to do.
