Dr. Oluwatoyin A. Adeyemo-Salami

About me

I am a senior faculty of the Faculty of Basic Medical Sciences, College of Medicine, University of Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria. I am currently a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Biochemistry, College of Medicine, University of Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria

I obtained my B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Biochemistry and Industrial Chemistry in the year 1992 and 1995, respectively from the University of Ibadan. I gained employment into the Department of Biochemistry, College of Medicine, University of Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria in October 1999 as an Assistant Lecturer. I then rose up the ranks to the position of Senior Lecturer in the year 2021. My research focus is Medicinal plant and Phytonutrient Research. For over 25 years, I have taught various aspects of Biochemistry to Medical, Dental, Nursing, Pharmacy, Physiology, Microbiology, Physiotherapy, and Human Nutrition students both at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. I have been a recipient of international and institutional awards. I have written several publications including a book and book chapter in international peer review journals.
