About me
Ibrahim Oyinofeoluwa is an Assistant Lecturer at Tai Solarin Federal University of Education, Ijagun, Ijebu-Ode and a PhD graduate in Non-Ruminant Production (Department of Animal Production and Health) at the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, Nigeria. My research focused on improving poultry productivity through endocrine-based interventions, particularly the use of synthetic aromatase inhibitors in broiler chickens. I am passionate about sustainable livestock production, capacity building, and advancing food security in developing countries through research and teaching.
My name is Ibrahim Oyinofeoluwa an Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Animal Science at Tai Solarin Federal University of Education, Nigeria, and a PhD graduate in Non-Ruminant Production from the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, Nigeria. My work lies at the intersection of poultry physiology, endocrinology, and sustainable livestock production, with a strong focus on improving productivity, efficiency, and sustainability in poultry production systems.
My doctoral research examined the response of two strains of broiler chickens to oral administration of synthetic aromatase inhibitors, with the aim of improving growth performance and optimizing production outcomes. I successfully completed her pre-data and post-data presentations, conducted extensive experimental research and fieldwork, and successfully completed her final oral defence.
I hold a Master’s degree in Non-Ruminant Production, where I developed strong expertise in livestock management, research design, experimental methods, and data analysis. In my current academic role, I am actively involved in teaching, research, and mentoring undergraduate students, contributing to the development of future professionals in animal agriculture.
My broader research interests include poultry production, animal physiology, feed efficiency, phytogenic approaches, and innovative strategies for improving animal health, welfare, and productivity. I am particularly interested in developing practical and sustainable solutions that can contribute to food security, improve rural livelihoods, and strengthen livestock production systems in Africa and other resource-constrained settings.
Through research, teaching, mentorship, and scientific collaboration, I am committed to advancing knowledge in animal agriculture, promoting sustainable livestock production, and contributing to scientific and human capacity.
