About me
Civil Engineer and Master in Structural Engineering, dedicated to university teaching and research. My work focuses on earthquake-resistant design, construction materials, and the development of sustainable, affordable building systems tailored to diverse communities, aiming to build safer and more resilient urban habitats.
Civil Engineer holding a Master's Degree in Structural Engineering from Universidad Nacional de Colombia and a Master's Degree in University Teaching. Currently, I serve as a university professor and researcher at Universidad Católica de Cuenca, teaching undergraduate courses in the field of structural engineering, as well as coordinating undergraduate degree projects in the Civil Engineering program.
My research focuses on earthquake-resistant design, non-linear structural modeling, and the evaluation of construction materials. I have a particular interest in the development of sustainable, safe, and affordable building systems aimed at improving community resilience and the quality of human habitats across diverse socioeconomic contexts.
In addition to teaching and research, I actively participate in academic, educational, and student leadership initiatives in engineering. Through the OWSD network, I seek to build international scientific cooperation links, contribute to sustainable structural solutions against seismic risk, and promote the visibility and participation of women in STEM fields.
