Olorunfemi Ronke Dorcas is a mathematician and PhD student in Mathematics at the University of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. Her research interests include mathematical modelling of infectious diseases, particularly schistosomiasis, malaria, chicken pox and antimicrobial resistance.

She holds a B.Sc. in Pure and Applied Mathematics from the Federal University Oye Ekiti (FUOYE) and an M.Sc. in Applied Mathematics (Biomathematics) from the same institution.
She is a Research Assistant at the International Centre for Applied Mathematical Modelling and Data Analytics (ICAMMDA), FUOYE, where she contributes to research in mathematical modelling and data analytics. Her research interests centre on the application of mathematical and computational approaches to infectious diseases, with particular interests in neglected tropical diseases, malaria, and antimicrobial resistance.
Her research has focused on developing mathematical models to understand disease transmission, infection dynamics, and the effectiveness of public health interventions. Her work on schistosomiasis has explored the transmission and intensity of infection, including the effects of interventions such as mass drug administration and access to potable water. She is also interested in using mathematical modelling to investigate the emergence, evolution, and spread of antibiotic-resistant bacteria within communities.
Through her research, Ronke is passionate about applying mathematics, modelling, and data-driven approaches to address infectious disease challenges and generate evidence that can support effective public health interventions and decision-making.
