/Dr. Rosemary Egodi Ubaekwe is a forest ecologist and remote sensing scientist with a Ph.D. in Silviculture and Forest Biology. She is a Lecturer in the Department of Forestry and Wildlife Technology at the Federal University of Technology, Owerri, Nigeria. Her research focuses on forest carbon dynamics, carbon stock assessment, ecological modelling, and the integration of field inventories with remote sensing, GIS, and drone-based data. Dr. Ubaekwe has strong computational expertise in R and Python, an extensive peer-reviewed publication record, and experience leading carbon MRV and restoration projects, including mangrove and tropical forest systems. She is an active member of international ecological societies and has received competitive research grants and fellowships for her work in forest conservation and climate science.
