About me
I am Dr. Samina Mumtaz, currently serving as Head of the Department of Animal Sciences at Karakoram International University (KIU), Gilgit-Baltistan. I hold a PhD in Environmental Sciences from Kathmandu University, Nepal, and an MPhil in Microbiology from Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad. My research interests include microbiology, pathology, soil biology, soil ecology, soil nematodes, and their biodiversity. I have been associated with KIU since 2008 and have extensive experience in teaching, research, and academic administration.
