About me
Dr. Umma Muhammad Chief Lecturer in the Department of Science Laboratory Technology at Kano State Polytechnic, Nigeria. I holds a PhD in Inorganic Chemistry from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, and has over twenty four years of experience in teaching, research, and academic administration in tertiary institutions.
I specializes in inorganic chemistry, QSAR modeling, environmental chemistry, antimicrobial studies, and chemical education. I have published several research articles in reputable national and international journals and have presented scholarly papers at various conferences across Nigeria.
Also served in different leadership roles including Head of Department and
Examination Officer and an active member of professional bodies such as the Chemical Society of Nigeria (CSN)Kano State Chapter, Institute of Chartered Chemists of Nigeria (ICCON), and Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN).
I am passionate about education, research development, and community health awareness.
