About me
Dr Vanitha Thurairasu is a Public Health Officer under Malaysia’s Ministry of Health (MOH). She integrates environmental and genomic toxicology with AI-assisted analytics to address climate and environmental-sensitive exposures affecting maternal and child health. Her work advances the OWSD challenges of Climate Change, Medicine and Health, and Technology and Artificial Intelligence, delivering risk assessments, decision-support tools, and capacity building across the globe.
She has received international recognitions, awards, and fellowships for contributions at the interface of toxicology and public health, and is active in professional societies (RSPH, SOT/WIT, AOEMM, ACOEM, MySOT). Current collaborative interests focus on climate-resilient WASH surveillance, maternal–child biomonitoring, and interpretable AI tools for epidemiological mapping and risk communication.
