About me
Currently, in terms of scientific output, I have over thirty-eight (38) products, including articles, books, policy briefs, and others under review. I am a member of the National Research System (SNI) and the Panamanian Association for the Advancement of Science (APANAC). At this time, I have been working on various projects in the Republic of Panama, focused on: Good health and well-being SDG 3 (Psychoeducational guide for children and adolescents: Understanding cancer in the family); and Quality education SDG 4 (The keys to success for quality education). Gender equality SDG 5 (Gender inequality in women's participation in access to popular education), Peace, justice and strong institutions SDG 16, and Partnerships for the goals SDG 17. These two SDGs are being studied to analyze social behavior in response to COVID-19, as institutions must invest in long-term infrastructure, quality health care, information and communication technologies, and research, as these are important for greater psychosocial adaptability to COVID-19. I have also served as an editor on the research topic "Death and Mourning Processes in the Times of the Coronavirus Pandemic (COVID-19)" in the journal Frontiers, alongside leading researchers from Spain, Italy, Brazil, Africa, Belgium, and other countries. I was also an editor of the IPC Journal in Panama. I am an active reviewer for the journal Frontiers. I have participated in various national and international research projects, leading multidisciplinary, multicultural teams to generate new knowledge for the population.
