Engr. Dr. (Mrs.) Comfort Oluwaseyi Folorunso is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Systems Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, University of Lagos, Nigeria. She earned her B.Sc. (Hons) in Electronics and Computer Engineering from Lagos State University in 2006 and began her career lecturing at Yobe State Polytechnic during her NYSC. She later worked as a Technical Support Officer at Linkserve Limited, an Internet Service Provider, before joining Lagos State University as a Graduate Assistant in 2008. She completed her M.Sc. in Electronics and Computer Engineering in 2012 and transitioned to the University of Lagos in 2015. She obtained her Ph.D. in 2021, specializing in biometrics using laughter signatures, a research achievement that gained international recognition from institutions including U.S. Homeland Security and Russian Security in 2019. She is a registered Electronic Engineer and member of NSE, OWSD, and APWEN, with research interests in AI, Biometrics, and Electronics.

ngr. Dr. (Mrs.) Comfort Oluwaseyi FOLORUNSO is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Systems Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, University of Lagos, Akoka, Lagos State, Nigeria. She earned her B.Sc. (Hons) in Electronic and Computer Engineering from Lagos State University in 2006. Her professional career began during her National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) at Yobe State Polytechnic, Geidam, where she served as a Lecturer in the Department of Computer Science. In November 2007, she joined Linkserve Limited, an Internet Service Provider (ISP) company in Victoria Island, Lagos, as a Technical Support Officer.
In October 2008, she transitioned into academia as a Graduate Assistant at the Department of Electronics and Computer Engineering, Lagos State University, Epe Campus. She earned her M.Sc. in Electronic and Computer Engineering in 2012 and rose to the rank of Assistant Lecturer before joining the University of Lagos in February 2015. Dr. Folorunso obtained her Ph.D. in November 2021, specialising in biometrics with a focus on laughter signatures. Her groundbreaking research received international recognition in 2019, including commendations from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and Russian Security agencies.
She is a registered Electronic Engineer, a member of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), the Association of Professional Women Engineers of Nigeria (APWEN), Lagos Chapter, and the Organisation of Women in Science for the Developing World (OWSD), University of Lagos Chapter. Her research interests include Artificial Intelligence, Biometrics, and Electronics.
