Prof.(Mrs) Faith Akinnibosun

About me

Professor (Mrs) Faith Akinnibosun is a Professor of Environmental and Public Health Microbiology with a PhD in Environmental and Public Health Microbiology from University of Benin in collaboration with University of Exeter, United Kingdom (2010) with the Exeter Research Scholarship. She is a Fellow of the Linnean Society of London, a Senior Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management and Development (CIPMD, USA) and a Charter Member of Association of Cybersecurity Practitioners. She is the 348th Inaugural Lecturer of University of Benin and has over 100 publications in international, national and local journals. She has been the Head of Department of Microbiology at University of Benin and Edo State University Iyamho and Dean, Faculty of Science at Edo State University, Iyamho. In these capacities, She received the Outstanding Leadership Award, Award of Excellence, Award of Recognition and Distinguished Alumnus Award, as well as Letters of Commendation from the Vice Chancellor of University of Benin. She donated Solar Systems, Smartboards, new Microbiology textbooks and Glow Signboards to the Department of Microbiology.
