Ts. Dr. Fatehah Mohd Omar graduated with a degree in Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) and MSc in Environmental Technology, Universiti Sains Malaysia, both in year 2004 and 2007 respectively. Her expertise background is in water and wastewater treatment. She has worked for several companies in the private sector including Advanced Micro Devices Export Penang (AMD) and WNA Consultancy as an Environmental Engineer for a few years. She then pursued her PhD in University of Geneva, Switzerland and earned her doctoral degree in 2015 with a summa cum laude. She is a certified TTT trainer for a few professional environmental courses endorsed by the Department of Environment (DOE) Malaysia and has over 15 years of experience in environmental consultancy concerning environmental monitoring, environmental impact assessment (EIA) and environmental scheduled waste management. Dr. Fatehah has over 30 international peer reviewed journals within the same field. She is a two time grant recipient of International Foundation of Science, Sweden in 2012 and 2016. She has also won numerous international awards including UNESCO L’Oreal Fellowship (2016) and Venus Women International Award (2017). She has lead the community engagement program in the area of river conservation under the Department of Irrigation and Drainage (DID) national program “Denai Sungai Kebangsaan Kampung Chenaam”.
