About me

Dr Janet Opeyemi Ajayi is a Plant Physiologist and lecturer II in the Department of Plant Science and Biotechnology, Faculty of Life Sciences, Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE), Ekiti State, Nigeria.
She obtained her B. Sc. in Biological Sciences (Botany) in 2008, M. Sc. in Botany (Plant Physiology) in 2021, all from the Federal UNiversity of Agriculture, Abeokuta.

Dr Janet Opeyemi Ajayi is a Plant Physiologist and lecturer II in the Department of Plant Science and Biotechnology, Faculty of Life Sciences, Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE), Ekiti State, Nigeria.
She obtained her B. Sc. in Biological Sciences (Botany) in 2008, M. Sc. in Botany (Plant Physiology) in 2021, all from the Federal UNiversity of Agriculture, Abeokuta.
Her research interests include plant physiology, water stress physiology, salinity- stress physiology, plant biotechnology, and the effects of sowing depth on crop growth, nutritional composition and yield. Her doctoral research focused on agro-physiological studies of selected members of the Cucurbitaceae family.
Dr Ajayi is passionate about teaching, research, laboratory practicals and community engagement. She has contributed to undergraduate teaching and research activities and is a member of the Botanical Society of Nigeria (BOSON).
