Sole Leonardi- IBIOMAR-CONICET

About me

I'm Soledad Leonardi, a researcher from Patagonia Argentina at CONICET- CENPAT. My research focuses on the evolutionary ecology of the association between lice and amphibious hosts, such as seals and seabirds. I'm particularly interested in the adaptations of this extraordinary group of insects and how they have managed to survive under the conditions imposed by their hosts. More broadly, I am interested in studying the health status of host species and the potential role of lice as vectors. I am also an activist for gender equality and feminism in science.
