Dr. Flora Mukah

Dr. Flora Ebaimoh Mukah is a dedicated lecturer, with expertise in plant physiology, biotechnology applications and data analysis. She has over ten years of teaching and research experience in the Department of Plant Science and Biotechnology, Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike, Abia State.
She obtained her B.Sc (2009) with a second-class upper division and her M.Sc (2013) both from the University of Benin. She later earned her Ph.D (2022) from Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike. Her work focuses on areas such as climate change, biodiversity conservation, phytochemical research and environmental sustainability.
Beyond her research, she is a technology advocate committed to training students, educators and researchers on leveraging AI for data analysis, automation and digital learning in higher education to enhance productivity, accuracy and collaboration. Her goal is to bridge the gap between traditional scientific methods and emerging technological advancements, fostering a tech-savvy academic and research community in Africa. She aims to ensure that researchers, educators and students remain competitive in a rapidly evolving digital world.
Dr. Mukah is also a passionate advocate for quality education (SDG 4), gender equality (SDG 5), clean water and sanitation (SDG 6), climate action (SDG 13) and life on land (SDG 15). She is actively involved in the Global Citizenship Education (GCED) initiative, working towards eliminating discrimination against women in education and leadership. Her dream is to uplift women and children, bringing smiles to their faces through her advocacy and initiatives.
