About me

I am a marine biologist and postdoctoral researcher based in Brazil. I hold a PhD in Zoology and currently conduct my postdoctoral research in the Graduate Program in Ecology: Theory, Application and Values at the Federal University of Bahia, in Northeast Brazil. My work focuses on ecophysiology and coastal ecology, using marine bivalves as bioindicators to understand how urbanization and climate-related stressors affect costal ecosystems.

My work investigates how urbanization, temperature, and other environmental gradients influence physiological responses in organisms inhabiting rocky shores along the Brazilian coast. I combine extensive field-based research with biochemical and physiological analyses, as well as spatial and environmental data, to assess ecosystem health under climate and anthropogenic pressures.
In addition to research, I am actively involved in science communication and environmental education, with a strong interest in increasing the visibility and encouragement of women in field science.
