Women play a crucial role in biodiversity and environmental conservation, acting as stewards of natural resources, holding traditional knowledge, and driving community-level change. Their contributions are increasingly recognized as essential for achieving both gender equality and sustainable development goals. OWSD members are working in biodiversity and environmental conservation, identifying local, national, and regional challenges (e.g., —, —, —), and designing and developing solutions.
